Our Head Barista Yusuf has been busy. And we mean properly busy – crafting something special that's got our regulars buzzing (quite literally).
His handcrafted cold brew has landed, and honestly, it's like drinking sunshine. Think lemon radler meets coconut with the smoothest finish you've ever tasted. We're talking bright, refreshing, and perfect for when you need that on-the-go coffee fix.

From Bean to Bottle: Yusuf's Process
We sat down with Yusuf to get the inside scoop on how he creates this liquid gold. Spoiler alert: he's not giving away all his secrets.
"It starts with choosing the right beans," Yusuf explains. "I taste everything first to understand the flavour profile. I'm looking for something unique – coffee you can't find in most shops."
Each batch is limited because Yusuf prioritises uniquely processed coffee. The kind of beans that make you stop mid-sip and think 'bloody hell, that's good.'
His process is pretty methodical:
- Wash and sanitise each bottle by hand
- Apply those custom Yusuf's Cold Brew stickers (yes, he's got his own branding now)
- Grind the beans to medium coarse
- Use a special cold brew system that can handle 40-60 bottles at once
But here's where it gets mysterious. Yusuf won't tell us his recipe. Or his brewing time. Both are top secret.
"The time changes everything about the flavour," he says with a grin. "Can't give that away."
What we can tell you is it's a two-day process. Day one is brewing, day two is bottling and getting it out to all our sites.
The Caffeine Hit You Actually Want
Here's something most people don't know – cold brew packs more caffeine than espresso. Yusuf drinks his around midday for that perfect energy kick without the jitters.
His recommendation? Pair it with brunch. "It's light and refreshing, perfect with something savoury," he says. We couldn't agree more.
What Our Regulars Think
Yusuf was genuinely surprised by how well it's been received. "I wasn't sure how many people would like it," he admits. "Cold brew isn't huge in the UK like it is back home in Bali."
But our customers have proved him wrong. The feedback's been brilliant, and people keep coming back for more. That's when you know you've nailed it.
"I put a lot of thought into the coffee choice and the process because I want people to actually enjoy it," Yusuf explains. "Not many places do cold brew well."
The Great Bottle Disaster of 2025
Every good story needs a disaster, right? Yusuf's got one.
He was so excited to get the first batch out to all our sites that he loaded the bottles into paper bags. You can probably guess what happened next.
"The bag broke on the way and three bottles smashed everywhere," he laughs. "But it made for a great photo!"
