Returns & Refunds

Not happy with your product? 

No problem, we'll happily take it back.

We offer a full refund, exchange, or credit note for unwanted items if reported to us within 7 days & returned within 14 days of receipt, in accordance with the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

  • Goods must be returned unused, unopened, and in their original packaging.
  • You are responsible for the cost of return shipping.
  • A refund will be issued within 14 days of receiving the returned goods.

Items Not Eligible for Return

Due to the perishable and custom nature of some of our products, the following items are non-returnable unless faulty:

  • Roasted coffee beans
  • Ground coffee
  • Custom orders (including ground-to-order coffees)

These exclusions are in line with your rights under UK consumer law.

What we'll need from you:

- your order number
- details of the goods you intend to return
- preferred/appropriate reimbursement (refund or exchange)

What if your goods are faulty?

If your item is faulty, damaged, or not as described, you are entitled to a full refund or replacement under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

  • Please notify us within a reasonable time (ideally within 14 days).
  • We will cover the cost of return shipping for faulty items.
  • Refunds will be processed within 14 days of receiving the returned item.

Order Cancellations

You may cancel your order at any time before dispatch for a full refund. We reserve the right to cancel any order prior to dispatch and will issue a full refund without undue delay.

How to Return an Item

To initiate a return, please contact our customer service team at shop@federalcafe.co.uk. Include your order number and reason for return. We will provide return instructions and any applicable return labels.

Consumer Rights Act 2015

    • Of satisfactory quality (Section 9)

  • If goods do not meet these standards, consumers have the right to:

    • Price reduction or final right to reject (Section 24)
    • Full refund within 30 days for faulty goods (Section 20)

Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013

  • Consumers have the right to:
    • Cancel orders within 14 days of receiving goods (Regulation 29)
    • Receive a refund within 14 days of cancellation (Regulation 34)
    • Return goods at their own cost, unless faulty (Regulation 35)
  • Exemptions apply to:
    • Perishable goods
    • Customised or made-to-order items (Regulation 28)
